Nation Broadcasting continues to build its position as the UK’s biggest independent commercial radio network, according to the latest RAJAR audience figures.
The group now reaches 1.328 million listeners a week – up from 1.2M in the previous quarter. Its total listening hours are up 26% on this time last year to 5.857 million.
Nation 80s built on its debut audience last quarter, with its weekly reach hitting 519,000. Nation South is up 30% from this time last year to 130,000.
Nation’s Dragon Radio recorded its best ever total listening hours of 393,000. There was also growth in Nation’s regions, with Nation North East’s weekly reach nearly doubling to 70,000 and Nation Radio Yorkshire increasing its listening hours on this quarter last year by 40%, to over 500,000.
Nation’s founder Jason Bryant said: “These record numbers come following sustained investment in our platforms and our content. With streaming numbers at an all-time high, Nation has strong foundations to further build its business.”
