The South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust is a National Health Service trust formed from the merger of City Hospitals Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust and South Tyneside NHS in April 2019.
Together, the new Trust provides acute hospital and community based healthcare services to a population of around 430,000 people in South Tyneside and Sunderland. They have a dedicated team of over 8,000 staff who deliver outstanding care and work together to achieve the highest possible standards of quality for their patients.
We are a partnership created for anyone who shares a passion to celebrate and promote everything that can inspire Sunderland to become a vibrant place in which to live, work, study and play… and while we have achieved much, there remains much more to be done.
