Vantec Europe won two awards at the North East North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) Awards 2024.

The company won the Digital Transformation Award, which recognises the company that is championing digital adoption and demonstrates its digital transformation journey outlining the strategy to date, future plans and associated workforce planning.

Speaking about Vantec, the judges said: “This company exhibited tremendous leadership in leveraging digital tools to drive business optimisation and support workforce development. From streamlining inventory to data analytics to an all-encompassing digital home portal, the winner stands out for its multifaceted digital strategy fully aligned with corporate objectives.

“Combined with staff upskilling initiatives, academic partnerships, and even establishing its own digital transformation department, the winner sets the standard for integrating innovative solutions clearly with an eye on the future.

“By harnessing technology to enhance operations today while building the capacity to sustain innovation tomorrow, our winner has proven itself as a pioneering digital leader well deserving of this prestigious honour.”

Martin Kendall, Managing Director, also won the Outstanding Contribution Award, which recognises an individual at any level who has had a sustained career, which has not only made a significant contribution to the North East automotive sector but; has been highly influential in supporting the region’s competitiveness and whose passion for the automotive sector is an inspiration to others.

Judges looked for someone with a level of dedication that goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Speaking about Martin, the judges said: “Our winner is a true inspiration to others. Not only have they demonstrated personal fortitude that has seen them rise from working on the shop floor to becoming the MD of the European arm of a global business, but they have become recognised as a truly inspirational leader that has been able to create a more sustainable future for their business through diversification and an ability to translate new technology into commercial advantage.”
