A local bus operator is keen to promote all Sunderland city has to offer for foodies as it backs the city’s next Restaurant Week.
Organised by the city’s Business Improvement District, Sunderland Restaurant Week runs from Saturday 8 September until Sunday 16 September at bars, restaurants, cafes and bistros across the city.
Stagecoach North East is once again showing its support for the popular campaign, with the local bus operator keen to remind passengers about its low cost eveningrider ticket.
The special evening ticket allows customers to travel across Sunderland every evening for just £2 and is available from 7pm on all Stagecoach buses in the city. The eveningrider ticket is also valid on the X24 service as far west as Hastings Hill and on services E1, E2 and E6, as far as South Bents.
The value for money evening travel ticket provides a perfect opportunity for residents in Sunderland to visit some of the city’s best eateries, where they can dine out for as little as £5, £10 or £15 each.
Restaurants taking part include No 2 Church Lane for gourmet burgers or visitors can sample Egyptian cuisine at Arabesque. Further afield, Asian fare is on offer in Seaburn at the Fat Buddha and wood fired pizzas can be enjoyed at the Italian Farmhouse in Roker.
