The region’s contact centre awards will be headline-sponsored by contact centre recruitment specialists greenbean by NRG.

Alongside new awards organisers, The Projects Studio, greenbean will help shape the delivery program for NECCA 2020.

The change of ownership has been taken as an opportunity to refresh the awards with this year seeing all new categories, judging criteria and a new website.

The teams have been working hard behind the scenes to ready NECCA’s launch.

Nineteen categories will be awarded on the night including Customer Service Star, Outsourcing Partnership and the coveted Contact Centre of the Year award which will see global brands across the region competing for the top spot.

This year will see brand new categories introduced such as Apprentice of the Year, Team Leader and Special Contribution to the industry which seeks to find an individual or organisation who has been influential and has significantly contributed to making a visible difference within the North East contact centre sector during their career to date.

For those entering, NECCA will offer a series of workshops and guidance on best practice in applying for the awards which will focus on the impact across four areas: customer, company, colleague and conduct.

The winners will be judged by a core judging panel of 5 industry experts including greenbean’s Client Relationship Manager Julie Mordue and a team of 20 support judges.

Julie, who has previously judged for UK and European call centre awards and leads the North East Contact Centre Partnership (NECCP), commented: “As a business we have supported NECCA for over 10 years and know how much the regional awards mean to the people of the North East.

“The contact centre sector is one of greenbean’s specialist areas, with huge amounts of in-house expertise on contact centre recruitment, so we’re perfectly placed to advise and guide The Project Studio during their first year of organizing the awards.”

Leanne Chambers, Director of greenbean, added: “We are thrilled greenbean will be the headline sponsor for NECCA 2020.

“Contact centres are a huge part of the North East’s economy, accounting for around 6% of jobs in the region, and make for challenging and rewarding employment with plenty of opportunities for career progression.

“We work with contact centre clients to challenge perceptions, demonstrate their talent proposition and ultimately fill their vacancies with quality candidates as their recruitment partner.

“NECCA is about showcasing and celebrating the amazing talent behind the scenes of the contact centre sector and recognising the vital part they play in the region’s economy.”

Andrew Wilson, Director of event organisers at The Projects Studio, said: “We are really excited to be organising the North East Contact Centre Awards in 2020, working closely with headline sponsor greenbean.

“I have heard a lot about the awards from previous years, and know we are building on strong foundations.

“With the partnership approach we have put in place I feel we can develop the awards still further.

“Working with Leanne, Julie and their colleagues, we have established a strong team of judges who have helped us revise the categories for this year, which are now live on our website.

“We look forward to receiving nominations in due course from the many individuals, teams and organisations who are leading their industry and growing our region’s reputation for contact centre service excellence.

“I am sure the Gala Awards Dinner at Ramside Hall will be a memorable occasion to celebrate their success.”

NECCA nominations open 20 April 2020 and will close 31 July 2020. The awards will be held 20 November 2020 at Ramside Hall, with greenbean handing out Contact Centre of the Year prizes.
